Sunley Conference Centre in Northampton has just announced a new range of packages designed to meet the growing need from local businesses for flexible meeting, catering and accommodation services.“We’ve been looking at expanding our business offers for some time, and Sunley’s proximity to Moulton Park, Northampton, Kettering and Wellingborough, offers an increasingly popular location for clients looking to hold off-site meetings or events,” explains John Jones, managing director of the Centre.
“We are proud to help many smaller companies and organisations which are beginning to recognise the benefits of holding meetings and events in an off-site, well-equipped and private environment,” he adds. “Although our clients aren’t opting out of holding events because of the economy, we are still doing our upmost to make our services cost-efficient and effective.
“Our staff are very accommodating and we do everything we can to make clients' events successful. The service is personal and tailored to meet the needs of the individuals we’re working with.”
Jones observes that employers are becoming increasingly interested in motivating their employees by combining meetings and training sessions with larger activities, including award ceremonies, entertainment, food and even overnight accommodation.
“We’re able to offer an affordable price, so that’s helped us get through tough economic times,” he explains. “Keeping it local has been a concern for some companies, especially as travel expenses have increased. With some bigger events, we’ve been able to save money for our clients because we can meet their requirements in one location."
Sunley's new packages provide entrepreneurs, small- to-medium-sized-enterprises and larger businesses with a range of options, including: one-to-one meetings, director and training away days for individuals and small groups, as well as conference and dinner packages for up to 80 people.
“It’s possible to accomplish many things with one event, and this can prove a smart strategy for maximising a company’s investment in its staff,” Jones continues.
“Businesses often need to meet their goals without the everyday distractions of the office - whether they’re interviewing, training, sharing information or rewarding - and staff and teams leave better informed and feeling positive about the company because it has invested in them.
“Ultimately, we believe the economy will start picking up, and more businesses will start looking at entertaining clients and appreciating their employees with activities that are both local and affordable.”
"Companies and corporations need meeting sites, but they still want and deserve to get a personalised service and genuine value for money. These issues never change, regardless of the economy.
"While our new fixed-rate packages offer a straightforward solution to meet most requirements, we also take pride in being flexible and open minded,” Jones adds. “We find out what the client wants and go out and make it happen.”
